National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Apps started back in 2012, and is now the largest global hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, artists, storytellers, makers, builders, engineers, technologists, and others to form teams and engage NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space.

Participants are creative and interested in space science and exploration that embrace collaboration across borders, sectors, and cultures to introduce a paradigm-shifting innovation.

While NASA provides awards to the top projects, the core mission is focused on the following objectives.

  • To inspire collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking

  • To foster interest in Earth and space science and exploration

  • To raise awareness of NASA data around the world

  • To encourage growth and diversity of the next generation

Objectives

Presenting a holistic tool to shed a new light on the Sun itself. Immersing the public to learn new ideas and stay enthusiastic about future solar exploration is a blazing mission!

Relive the past with blasts of bite-sized historical knowledge about the Sun, spacecrafts, and heliophysics missions mapped in the solar system, and Be the Beacon of Change by acing the Sun quiz. Interact with the present by taking a too-close look into the Heat of Space Flight Centers along with visualised Ablaze data dashboards whose value brightens the future of life on earth.
